Khujand. IAA "Varorud". M.Saifidinova. Five people were detained as a result of two days youth groups skirmish in the streets of the administration center of Sughd region.
The youth group aged 18-20 years organized a fight in one of the micro districts of Khujand, taking advantage of electricity absence in the evening.
On 14 December, city Department of Internal Affairs received the information, that in the evening on 13 December the youth scuffle, where local residents and visitants took part occurred in billiard room near the plant on soft drinks production on the right-bank side of Khujand.
According to Sughd Administration of Internal Affairs report, the visitants went for a helping hand because of the numeral superiority amidst local guys.
According to source, " they have called fellow countrymen from the nearest micro districts, the basic part of who made up students from the local institutes of higher education." After some disorders, the visitants appointed a meeting the very day to the offenders, which had to come about next day. According to Administration of Internal Affairs data, additional militia forces were drawn up for disorders prevention.
Next alarm signal was received at local militia department on 14 December at 8p.m. This time, a group consisting of 45-50 people from amongst youth has gathered near a market of the same district. As it is said in the reports of Sughd Administration of Internal Affairs, " having seen the militiamen, a group scattered to the nearest houses. One of them, taking an advantage of dark, started throwing stones to the car model "Jiguli", belonging to militia lieutenant A.Sanginov."
As a result, 5 people were detained, some of who are the students of the first-rate institute of higher education of the country, Khujand State University. All the detained were taken to the sobering-up station of the Khujand Department of Internal Affairs. An inquest is on, instigators are establishing.
