Khujand. IAA "Varorud". M.Pochoyeva. As a result of group fight in a restaurant in Khujand, two people were injured with knife, one of who died at the hospital.
Mulokhy Ruziyev, the chief of the Department of Internal Affairs has reported "Varorud" today, 23 December, that on the night from 21-22 December, a group fight took place in restaurant "Ochil", situated in one of the micro districts of the regional Sughd center, resulted in fatal outcome.
According to him, a fight between men, the residents of Matchinskii district and the city of Khujand happened by banal reason.
Two companies sitting long in the restaurant started sorting out their relationship because of jealousy towards women, which developed into fight afterwards. Ruziyev said, " during the fight, one of them, a 39-year-old resident of Bobojongafurov district, already convicted for murder, struck with a stick two rivals from Matchinskii district. Wounded men were at once taken to the hospital, but in ten minutes one of them, a 30-year-old businessman I.F. died."
The next morning, on 22 December, officers of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs detained the fight participants, hid in Spitamen district. At the time of examination, they explained their doings saying that they were drunk which caused drunken brawl. Ruziyev assured, " an incident happened between adult men has no concern to group fights between the youth of Khujand and Matchinskii district (see varorud.org), which took place on 13-14 December in the regional center."
According to source, only one murder is not revealed out of 10 available, occurred in Sughd region since the beginning of the year.
