A student at the age of 19 cut the head of a kidnapped
child and continued ransom demand for him from his father
businessman.
For the first time, a precedent of child's kidnapping with
the purpose of ransom getting for him occurred in Khujand,
administration center of Sughd region.
Mulokhy Ruziyev, the chief of the Department of Internal
Affairs has reported "Varorud" on 23 December,
that on 20 December F.N. a citizen of Khujand appealed to
the Khujand Department of Internal Affairs with an application
covering that his child was kidnapped by an unknown person
demanding ransom at the rate of 1,000 US dollars.
According to him, Department of Internal Affairs members
acted on-the-fly and found out a criminal during his second
telephone call. A criminal called up once more in the morning
on 21 December, and was demanding that time 8,000 US dollars.
Officers of the criminal investigation department have detained
a criminal near coin-box telephone at the moment of his
phoning up. This criminal proved to be Firdavs Gafurov from
Istaravshan, former student, expelled from the faculty of
law of the Tajik state university of law, business and policy.
As it turned out during examination, he came to the computer
center situated on the right bank of Khujand in the afternoon,
watched the playing children and has chosen 11-year-old
Sadjod as his potential victim, who came to computer center
after his classes. When he came to know during trusting
chat, that his father is a businessman, a criminal invited
the boy to his house, having promised him, that he would
be able to play his computer.
According to the detained confession, the boy, when having
seen, that there was no computer tried to leave a flat.
At that time, F.Gafurov savagely knifed him dividing the
schoolboy's head. Afterwards, he continued to call up Sadjod's
parents, demanding a ransom.
The detained explains the reason of crime, stating that
he is from a poor family and that he has large debts for
studies and that there was no other way out.
