Khorog. IAA "VARORUD". Iftikhor Mirshakar. Over 20 houses were ruined in Badakhshan as a result of the abundant snowfall and avalanching. All the highways connecting the region with the outside world were closed.

As the on-duty of the headquarter on Emergency cases and Civil Defense of the region has reported VARORUD, the highways Kghorog-Dushanbe, Khorog-Osh and the roads of the districts of Gorny Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast were closed owing to numerous avalanching.

According to source, over 80 avalanching were fixed on Khorog-Dushanbe highway. 21 houses were ruined, 13 of which utterly and 8 partly. One man died and others were rescued out of 9 people during avalanching. As it was reported at the industrial association "Pomirnakliyot", at the moment, 44 bulldozers, 13 motor-driven graders and other technical means are used for roads cleaning from avalanching and snow. The average height of the snow cover makes up 1 meter 20 centimeters in oblast.

Khujand. IAA "VARORUD". Bunavsha Khasanova. The deficit of energetic control workers is observed in Tajikistan for the last two years.

Ismail Khamidov, senior inspector of the Tajik State Energetic Control in Sughd oblast has reported VARORUD, " at the moment, there is lack of staff in our sphere in Sughd oblast and in Tajikistan in whole. At present, there are 46 energetic control workers only as a result of sudden staff reduction to nearly 82 percent in 2004, while there were 250 workers two years ago.

According to him, 9 inspectors only of energetic control work in Sughd oblast in 2006, while five inspectors only worked before the reduction in Khujand.

The inspectors of Energetic Control were engaged in engineering inspection conducting at the preschool and school institutions, including children's Internats and shelters, owing to the recent tragedy in Dushanbinskiy Children's Internat, the reason of which was inflammation because of the overcharge in electrical supply network

Khamidov says, " we need new members, because it is difficult to control every district".
The specialists of the Service, who are responsible for energetic nets security control state, that energetic substations of oblast need cardinal replacement of almost all the spares, power and capacity increase by means of transformers, cable bus and air lines replacement.
