The
group of Tajik Gastarbeiter arrived by train from the town
of Artryom to Novosibirsk on May 31, 2003 at 17.30 after earnings.
Sanovbar Negmatov affirms their being four - Tohir Vohidov,
Sheroz Olimov and Numon Nabiyev. When we dismounted from the
train transport militiamen approached us the checked documents,
- tells Sanovbar Negmatov. - They brought us to the militia
unit. Under the pretext of our crossing railway tracks in
a forbidden place they composed a formal protocol of violation
and made pay fine to the amount of 1030 Russian rubles from
each person. After that they searched Numon Negmatov and "revealed"
1600 USA dollars allegedly without bank documents confirming
this sum; 500 dollars being declared to be false. The militia
officers took away his passport and demanded 500 dollars in
exchange. Nabiyev refused to tickle their palms as the money
belonged to other Tajik Gastarbeiter. After that they let
him go without having returned the passport. After that we
went to Tolmachyovo airport. In the building of the international
terminal our documents were checked again, now by other militiamen.
We were brought to the airport militia unit. A telephone rang.
The militiaman who took a receiver asked: "Who of you
is Numon Nabiyev?" He answered: "I am". The
militiaman told that Nabiyev was searched. In some time he
was put into the car and driven away. Only the next day Nabiyev
appeared in the airport and told that he had been brought
back to the railway militia unit where he was pulled out 100
dollars and 500 Russian rubles; the passport being retrieved.
On June 1 in the evening, approximately at nine, we were waiting
for the plane which was bound to perform flight 4930 to Khujand,
we were to fly by this plane having five hours at our disposal
before departure; a man in civil clothes came up to Numon
Nabiyev and showed his official card, after that he took him
to the car going in an unknown direction. Since that time
we have no idea about his whereabouts".
As unverified assertions state, Nabiyev had over 10000 American
dollars by himself; this money was earned by Tajik Gastarbeiter
who had asked him to give it at home to their families. His
old parents, his family multiple times applied to the law-enforcement
bodies of Tajikistan in search of their missing son and father.
Unfortunately, up to now nothing is known about his destiny.
"We ask all good-willed people and especially the employees
of law enforcement bodies of Russia to help us in finding
our son Numon Nabiyev", - this is the application with
which Mashrabkhon Nabiyev, aged 80, residing in Chorkuh jamoat
of Isfara of Sughd viloyat, addressed "Varorud"
editorial-board.
